MTV announced November 9 that it will premiere Katy Perry's Unplugged performance online on November 16, one day before the singer's MTV Unplugged album hits shelves worldwide.

Beginning at 6 am EST on Monday, November 16, Perry's Unplugged performance will air on MTV.com and MTVMusic.com, featuring acoustic versions of "I Kissed a Girl" and "Waking Up in Vegas," as well as two new songs: "Brick by Brick," and a cover of the Fountains of Wayne's "Hackensack." A clip of Perry's Unplugged performance can currently be viewed at MTV.

The Unplugged special, which also includes an extended interview with Perry, will be available on demand at MTV immediately following its premiere. Katy Perry's MTV Unplugged album will be available worldwide on November 17, with a deluxe CD/DVD edition coming out on the same day.

On November 5, Katy Perry hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards, her second time serving as host of the event; at the 2008 ceremony, she also won Best New Act. Her mainstream debut album, One of the Boys, includes singles "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot N Cold," which topped charts in North America and Europe.
