The starlet pulled of her unplugged session with poise, sexiness, and creative renditions of familiar and unfamiliar songs. For the acoustic set she performed seven songs in total, which include: I Kissed A Girl, Ur So Gay, Hackensack, Thinking Of You, Lost, Waking Up In Vegas, and the premiere for Brick by Brick. One of the many highlights of the set was the more mellow adaptation of the naughty song about Perry playing tonsil hockey with another female. It definitely came out sounding more like a song you would here in a cabaret lounge, rather than a nightclub. I thought it was done perfectly, and that it allowed Perry to really display her vocal chops.

Before this, for the most part Katy Perry was regarded as nothing more than another pop star. Hopefully people will give her more respect as an artist after watching the all-acoustic gig. If not, it’s their loss, because she deserves to be recognized as a talented musician.
