She kissed a Sheffield boy and she liked it. Katy Perry’s California Dreams world tour arrived in South Yorkshire with a bang last night and had the packed Arena in a spin. There was sugar and spice and all things nice during the show which at times was more like an over-the-top musical than a concert.
The stage was packed with everything pink and girlie from candy floss to cupcakes. The pop princess even had her very own fluffy cloud take to the skies. The evening started with dancers firing sweet treats into the over-excited audience and ended with them screaming for more. She exploded like a firework and showed her Sheffield fans what she’s worth.
Known for her changes to everything from hair colour to outlandish outfits, Mrs Brand didn’t disappoint. She switched her clothes quicker than you can say ET, sometimes in the middle of the stage and often several times in one song. There were short skirts, hotpants and lipgloss galore, in fact everything that teenage dreams are made of. Never mind the sunshine coast of California, for one night only blinding rays of colour dazzled eyes and Katy Perry captured hearts in the Steel City.
